Come Home To Bountiful

For Sale: 100 Year old Bountiful home with TONS of personality.

*** I AM NOT LOOKING FOR A SELLER'S AGENT ***

I am selling my home in Bountiful, Ut. It is a cute house on a good sized lot in the very best part of the city (the historic old fort district). The neighbors are great, the house is close to everything you need, the schools are among the best in the state. You don't have to fight with the steep roads like you do if you go up the side of the mountain. You really can't ask for a better location.

The house is currently For Sale By Owner (FSBO), and I am currently not looking for an agent. If you are an agent and you have a client who you think would be interested, we still may be able to work something out, but I will use my father (a local broker) as a seller's agent.

Current asking price: $209,999. Feel free to make any offer, though.

History

As far as I've been able to tell, this house was first built in 1912. You'll be able to celebrate its 100th birthday if you buy it.

The house and yard had not been cared for at all for something like 20-25 years before I bought it. When you stop by to look through, remind me to tell you about the various really weird things we had to clean up. For the past 7 years or soI've been loving the house into good repair. However, there is still plenty of work that could be done, and that is why I've got it priced so low.

Specs

Why that price?

Well, three or four years ago, the house appraised at $210,000. Yes, I know the housing market took a dive. However, since the appraisal, I've done at least the following:(It's all I can think of right now)

Neighborhood

This house is just a block east of main street in Bountiful, and it's a fantastic neighborhood. It's close to everything. You're within walking distance to:

All this, and it still feels like a neighborhood, because you're off the main roads.

Schools

Some of the best in the state.

Why Are We Selling?

In November of 2007, my wife and I lost our baby boy Spencer during childbirth. We've greived much and healed much since then, but now we feel like it's time to start over in a new place.
